LI Elite Gymnastics is an Elite training center, offering outstanding gymnastics for beginners through elite level athletes. LI Elite Gymnastics is a USAG participating gym offering Junior Olympic (J.O.) programs from level 2 to level 10/Elite.
At LI Elite Gymnastics we pride ourselves on our compassion for each and every child who walks through our front door. Our gymnasts learn how to control their bodies and to push themselves to heights they thought were unreachable… literally.
We strive to show our gymnasts how to be outstanding students inside and outside of our facility. We make sure to give all of our kids a good balance between freedom and structure during our classes in order to help them learn how to be successful in both types of environments. We provide a multitude of classes for children of all skill levels – traditional recreational classes for beginners, and intermediate classes for those that are more advanced.
Both recreational and competitive gymnastics programs promote strength, flexibility, endurance, confidence, fitness and fun. While LI Elite's Achievement Programs (non-competitive) are fitting for anyone, competitive programs usually require an invitation to join after being evaluated by a qualified coach.
Our competitive teams start at Level 2 and progress all the way to Elite. The gymnasts progress by age and ability in our program. Each gymnast is looked upon as individual athletes who will move through the levels of our sport based on their ability. We continuously challenge each gymnast and advance her gymnastic skills within her capability. Our experienced coaching staff is passionate about making champions, as well as making the journey fun along the way!
Our Team program provides gymnasts with an excellent physical and technical foundation, emphasizing the importance of strength and flexibility necessary to safely perform the higher level skills with fewer injuries. Our philosophy is to start with the basics at the beginning competitive levels, as they are the fundamentals to higher gymnastics.
LI Elite Gymnastics specializes in college bound athlete preparation and recruitment as well as competitive Elite gymnastics. We are a USAG participating gym offering IGC and Junior Olympic (J.O.) programs from level 2 to level 10/Elite.
What is IGC? The IGC Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Jr. Olympic Program. This program was created as a way to keep gymnasts involved and excited about the sport and to enjoy Competitive Team.
Who can join?
Any member or none member of LI Elite Recreational, Pre-Team or Compulsory Program age 5 and up.
Gymnasts get to have fun competing sooner
Gymnasts get to have fun competing with the IGC program as soon as they join an IGC team. They don’t have to wait to be invited to a Jr. Olympic team.
Gymnasts compete individual, personalized routines.
Most athletes would rather compete routines that are customized to their age, strengths, taste and personality. Is it more fun to do a floor routine to stuffy, instrumental music like in the compulsory program, or cute, fun music the gymnast has picked out?
The IGC Program can be less of a time commitment.
The compulsory program can be unforgiving, with its routines that require gymnasts to learn an exact set of skills regardless of their strengths. Gymnasts can spend less time in the gym but still be able to learn skills that allow them to compete
Gymnasts are not required to compete all four events.
With the IGC program, gymnasts are not required to compete all of the events. Gymnasts can specialize in one or two events and choose to not compete the others.
Entry fees are capped at IGC meets to make it more affordable.
The Junior Olympic program by invitation only.
USAG Level 2-5 A good competitive program starts with the basics. Our Compulsory program introduces these at the beginning competitive levels, as they are the fundamentals to higher gymnastics. Compulsory gymnasts compete the same routines at competitions. Compulsory levels train 9-20 hours a week and compete September through December
USAG Level 6-10 Our Optional program provides gymnasts with an excellent physical and technical foundation, emphasizing the importance of strength and flexibility necessary to safely perform the higher level skills with fewer injuries. Optional gymnasts are given more flexibility within their routines. While there are some mandatory elements, optional gymnasts are allowed to perform other skills that suit their individual strengths and abilities. Optional levels train 16 to 34 hours a week and compete January to May in state, regional, or national meets.
Elite (By invitation only)
The Elite Program is designed to provide competitive experiences for athletes aspiring to the National Team or the Pre-Elite Training Squad. This program is for the athletes who reached an USAG optional levels at early age.
Home-school is required to attend morning and evening practices.
